National Greenhouse
National Greenhouse Company was founded in 1931 to serve the needs of the commercial grower in what was then the “Rose Capital” – Pana, Illinois. Early structures were manufactured of wood and steel. Over time the switch was made to all-aluminum structures. Aluminum gives the advantage of strength, yet it’s lightweight, making it particularly advantageous for a residential installation.
In 1990 Nexus Corporation, the leader in the design and manufacture of steel structures purchased National. The addition of National made Nexus a multifaceted greenhouse company that meets the needs of all greenhouse customers from smaller residential structures to larger commercial ranges with many acres of gutter connected structures. Today Nexus is the largest US manufacturer of greenhouses and retail garden center structures. A survey conducted by Allied Tube, of over 2000 commercial growers, ranked Nexus #1 in all categories. Categories include: most value for the dollar, product innovation, manufacturing and technical competence, best service, most knowledgeable sales personnel, and best overall reputation.
