The principal behind tumbling composting is that the agitation helps break up the compost and aerate it. Mixing fins inside the drum break up the compost as it tumbles down when the drum is rotated. The resulting aeration then allows the aerobic bacteria to break down the compost materials more quickly and at higher temperatures. The agitation also mixes the compost materials giving the resulting compost product a more consistent finish.
Made with recycled plastic and with a capacity of 7 cubic feet this compost tumbler helps minimize the landfill waste. It is rodent proof and has a sliding door for easy access.

Minuteman International Company was started by Ashok Hingorany and Naraian Bhatia in 1977 at the peak of the oil embargo, just when wood stoves were becoming an alternate source of heating. They started out by supplying basic necessities like steamers, kettles and fireplace gloves. The company is presently owned by Ashok Hingorany and his wife Achla Bahl Madan with Bob Miller as president.
